Garnier SkinActive Clean+ Blackhead Eliminating Scrub

Hello My Loves,

As I continue my charcoal extravaganza, I moseyed over to a consumer goods product. Garnier has never done me wrong in the past...so I figured, eh what the hell. Let's give it a try. Behold...my next blog...

Garnier SkinActive Clean+ Blackhead Eliminating Scrub

Why you would use it....

" Deeply cleanses, tightens pores and smooths skin. The scrub is infused with Charcoal to draw out blackheads causing dirt, oil and impurities." You can find it.

This scrub has salicylic acid in it which is a medicine for acne. It does help clear up breakouts...

Directions:

Dime size amount into your palm. Rub into skin. Dear lord stay away from your eyes. The salysadiac acid will burn the shit out of them and the beads will scrap your eyeballs. I wish I was being dramatic. I also wish I didn't make the mistake more than once.

Instant Gratification...

My skin felt soft and clean.

The aftermath...

Oy. A little reminder of my obsession with oil cleansing. The essential oils help keep your skin balanced without stripping. This does the opposite. My skin is clear...but holy hell is it oily. The medicine stripped my skin, which essentially sent my body into oil producing overload. I have dry spots and broken vessels from the beads being too destructive.

Who is this good for?

I couldn't tell you obviously. This was a complete bust for me personally.

My advice?

OIL CLEANSING. It is organic and therefore pure. It is filled with antioxidants. It is micro bacterial so it cleanses dirt and oil from your pores. The steaming process to remove the oil opens your pores to get the "way deep down" grime out of your skin. It melts makeup off your face. It leaves your skin perfectly balanced so you don't even need a moisturizer.

Why did I do it if I love Oil Cleansing?

I'm a beauty blogger, homie. Ill keep trying things and giving my honest review ;)

xoxo Christina
